What’s IN? (Acceptable Items)
Please ensure these items are clean and loose.
- Paper & Cardboard: Newspapers, magazines, food and beverage cartons, mixed paper, and flattened boxes.
- Glass: Bottles and jars.
- Metal: Food and beverage cans, aluminum foil, and foil containers.
- Plastic: Jugs, tubs, and lids.
What’s OUT? (Unacceptable Items)
Do not place these items in your recycling bin. They contaminate the load or damage machinery.
- No Plastic Bags or Wrap: These get tangled in sorting gears. Please return them to a retailer (grocery store drop-off).
- No Styrofoam or Black Plastic: Even if it has a symbol, black plastic containers and Styrofoam must go in the trash.
- No Clothing or Linens: Textiles do not belong in the bin. Please use local donation programs.
- No “Tanglers”: Hoses, wires, chains, and electronics can shut down the recycling plant.
